Roman Bernard Atwood (born May 28, 1983) is an American YouTube personality and prankster. He is best known for his vlogs, where he posts updates about his life. His vlogging channel, "RomanAtwoodVlogs", has a total of five billion views and 15 million subscribers. He also has another YouTube channel called "RomanAtwood", where he used to mail service prank videos. The channel has been inactive since 2016. His pranks have gained over ane.four billion views and 10.iv one thousand thousand subscribers. He became the second YouTuber afterward Germán Garmendia to receive two Diamond Play Buttons for his ii channels.

Personal life

Built-in in Millersport, Ohio, Atwood has been filming and producing videos since high schoolhouse. He was born to Curt Dale Atwood and Susan Atwood. He began his independent career past producing a serial of DVDs called "The Nerd Herd" which he sold at the Warped Tour in 2006.[2] Atwood has also worked on various film projects and commercials in Columbus, Ohio until 2010, when he decided to focus on his passion of one-act and created the YouTube channel "Sketch Empire".

Prior to his YouTube career, he worked at his family'south rope manufacturing plant chosen "Atwood Rope".[3] In 2001, he married Shanna Riley, who gave birth to Atwood'due south first son, Noah Vaughn Atwood (born October xviii, 2004).[4] In 2008, afterward his married woman cheated on him with a friend while on holiday, he filed for a divorce.[5]

In 2013, Atwood founded his own merchandise line called "Smile More than", selling T-shirts, hoodies, bracelets and other items.

He currently resides in his hometown with his wife Brittney Smith-Atwood, with whom he has a 2nd son, Kane Alexander Atwood (born October 23, 2011) and daughter, Cora Atwood (born July xvi, 2017).[vi] Atwood met Smith at the wedding of his friend, Chase Gilroy, where Roman was his all-time man in 2008. Smith is the sister of Gilroy'due south married woman, Veronica, and the two started dating from there. Atwood proposed to Smith on Apr 30, 2018, and the ii married on July 27, 2018, in Maui, Hawaii.[7]

On May 29, 2019, Atwood's female parent, Susan Atwood, died unexpectedly after a tragic accident while on vacation with the entire Atwood family. Atwood afterwards took fourth dimension out from his social media activity to grieve for his mother.[viii]

In this video, Atwood fills his firm with plastic balls 2.5 ft high, turning it into a massive ball pit. This video was uploaded on January xviii, 2015, and currently has most 86 million views. It features Atwood pranking Smith on their 5-year dating anniversary by confessing that he has cheated on her. The prank backfires when she sees the photographic camera beforehand and pranks him dorsum by pretending that she has cheated on him likewise. Killing My Kid Prank

A prank titled "Killing My Own Kid PRANK!!", posted on November 30, 2014, and currently has over 50 million views. When Smith runs to the mannequin, she speedily pulls off its mask, realizing it was not Kane, and in fact the mannequin. In 2016, Atwood and fellow YouTuber Yousef Erakat started a worldwide bout called "Roman vs. Fousey".[21] They have performed shows in the United States, Canada and the UK.[22]
